Oh Beloved Waste Land, Screw Thee!
I am THAT close to wanting to leave this country forever!
I have a lot tying me here, not just people and places… umm… basically people and places, but also something else indefinable and unknown! But screw all of that! Screw petty emotions that only bring about demolition and humiliation! I deserve to live in a better place; PEOPLE deserve to live in a better place!
Yes, yes, I know; the “people” who deserve to live in a better place are the very same people who deserve to be hung with acid ropes around their necks and slowly burn to death for what they do. I knoooow, I knoooooooow! But those very same people are like that for reasons!
You know what? This shit is too complicated for me to sit down and analyze in this state of mind! For now it’s as simple as that: this damned place is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay out of line, and every damned fool who has the choice to leave but decides to stay anyway is in fact a damned fool!
Lines have been crossed a million times before, and fainter lines have been drawn beyond them instead. Those lines too have been crossed and still fainter and fainter ones are drawn beyond those. Soon enough there will be no visible imaginary lines to cross!
I HATE this place! What’s really sad though is that I don’t exactly hate it just yet!
AHHH333333333!! DAAAMN ITTTTTT!
Is there any chance I can move to… saaay… Kuala Lumpur before August? Or Quebec, I like Canada!
Who am I kidding! I’m not going anywhere… ‘cause even if I actually want to – which I’m not sure I do – I’m not exactly the boss of me just yet! I’m stuck here!!
I, too, am a damned fool; for I know that even if I’m given the chance to leave, most probably I will not!
Screw it! I’m outta here… one day… maybe…

On a lighter note, today is Nana’s 23rd birthday!

Reading my mind again, Eva? You can get a visa to Zanzibar or Comoros Islands easily, and be optimistic, we’re still far more advanced and stable than Sudan and a bit safer than Afghanistan and Algeria (elerhabeyeen 3andena a2al).
Be angry, get as furious as you like… but don’t leave, seriously elbalad di a7san min 3′eirha!

hehe… did I ever mention that I was a little psychic? I read people AAALL the time, I can’t decide just yet if it’s a gift or a curse
hmm… Comoros Islands sounds really cool!
and… be optimistic??? LOL, come on Deee
Anyway I don’t think I’ll ever take the decision to leave… not cause el balad de 2a7san mn gherha, hell no, I know exactly where I am, but basically cause I DO actually have some hope left AND I’m a little dull and naiive still!

I was thinking of a similar post
“Yes, yes, I know; the “people” who deserve to live in a better place are the very same people who deserve to be hung with acid ropes around their necks and slowly burn to death for what they do. ……But those very same people are like that for reasons!”
What reasons?!
And if they deserve to be hung, then they do not deserve to live in a better place!
I’m not sure I got u right!
I don’t hate this place. I hate the people.
We r responsible for at least some of what’s happening right now.
The government does not pee or spit in the streets.
The government does not through the trash from the luxurious cars…
People do.
Do we need the government to teach us good conduct and discipline, and I mean here just the basic simple rules: lines in the market/cinema, privacy, helping eachother,…?!
We r all in the same shit together, so why do we worsen our living?!!
P.S. : That doesn’t mean that I don’t want to get out of here ASAP!

Hurricane,
the question however remains “who gets to say meen el qela el qaleela?”
haha… beat ya to it!
hmmm…. yeah I didn’t give it much thinking when writing that post I guess, things tend to contradict themselves. truth is I completely agree with what you’re saying! But see… it’s all very relative. Not all of those people deserve to be hung by acid ropes and not all of them deserve to live in a better place (well of course). I think what i meant then was some of those people (the ones who deserve to be hung category) were not always like that, or they’re like that due to certain bringing up circumstances. now the government is not to be blamed for that, it’s still people, it’s a very long chain reaction sort of thing that results in a very complicated vicious circle. Meaning, or ya3ny to cut it short: el roots beta3et el nas de bayza, very few turn out to be worthy of better places although more than just a few have the potential. el roots zay el zeft w betala3 nas azfat f kol 7aga zay el zeft. it’s not just the government, simply cause if the people were worthy enough they would have been able to stop it a long time ago way before it gets to that, bas 2e7na sha3b al7amdulEllah 3ayez el 7ar2… for most part and not all! 3ashan keda mn zamaaaaaan ba2ool en el 7al el amthal en yetwala3 fel balad kolaha b kol el nas ely feeha ma3ada qela qaleela… w nebtedy 3ala nadafa with good basis
people are dumb, not all of them but the majority is! and any hope for any good change is sadly in the hands of the people, so i guess we’re screwed
I was checking out a map earlier, there are a lot of good places out there
How about Czech Republic?
Marooned,
that’s why i didnt compare us to a country with worse conditions, i want better like you said.

I want to get away toooooo!
and Czech is amazing. I would totally live there if their language was easier and the people friendlier.
