Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind


How happy is the blameless vestal’ lot!
The world forgetting, by the world forgot.
Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind!
Each pray’r accepted, and each wish resign’d


I like Pope!

There are many many lines in this very very long poem fromwhich this part is extracted that I’m just crazy about! But it feels weird to cut a perfectly written long poem into little pieces and post them separately. So I’ll just do with the above exract… and the following one…


Death, only death, can break the lasting chain;
And here, ev’n then, shall my cold dust remain

    you should check out the whole poem though… it’s too long but if you’re into that kinda stuff you’ll love it! Pope is brilliant!
